Best of Show and Honorable Mention will be awarded at the judge’s discretion.
- Youth Division judging for the following departments will take place on Friday, JULY 19, 2024 from 4:30pm until 7:00 pm. Department 60 through 72 including horse educational projects.
- Items may be tagged at home. Class tags will be available for pick up the Monday before the entry date. Tags may be picked up at the fair office between the house of 9am-3pm. ANY alterations made to the tags by the exhibitor will be a disqualification of that item. Additional fees for tags needing to be reprinted once tags have been picked up will be 1-24 tags $5.00: 25 and more $10.00.
- Youth will take the project to the judge’s table to be judged. Youth will be given an A, B, or C rating. Ribbons will be handed out at the judge’s table.
- Youth will take the project back to the club display area. All youth projects should be displayed with club booth except baked goods.
- Club booths will be assigned. Each club is responsible for decorating and displaying their booth. Decorating can take place the week before open judging (6/25/24 to 7/12/24) and needs to be done by Friday, July 12, 2024. Call the fair office for the times the Home Arts barn will be open. Displaying of projects needs to be completed Friday, July 19, 2024. Displaying will take place the day of judging and needs to be completed by Friday night 9pm.
- Parents will not be allowed at the judging table.
- Youth Home Arts is open to exhibitors that are residents of Clare County, enrolled in a Clare County school district or are enrolled in a Clare County organized 4-H or FFA Club.
- Projects will be released on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 9am-12 noon. Taking projects out early will result in no premium being paid.
- BEST OF SHOW AND HONORABLE MENTION will be awarded at the judge’s discretion.
