DAIRY FEEDER MARKET CLASS
MICHELLE NEFF - SUPERINTENDENT ASHLEY EBERHART—ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT
Weigh in: To be determined (must be on fee at least 90 days prior to fair) Fair check in: Sunday, July 23, 2023 12pm-1pm
  1. Exhibitors may tag three (3) dairy feeders. Exhibitors may only exhibit one (1) dairy feeder.
  2. By Spring weigh in, dairy feeders are to be: de-horned, castrated.
  3. All dairy feeders are required to have an official (RIFD) ear tag at weigh in and before entering the fairgrounds.
  4. All animals must be tied with a halter and neck rope.
  5. Home grown animals mut be born and raised on the exhibitors property.
  6. Dairy feeders must weigh no more than 275 pounds at spring weigh in.
  7. Exhibitors 12 years of age and under, by January 1st of the current year will be eligible to enter one(1) dairy feeder in the large animal auction.
  8. Exhibitors 6-19 years old can show one (1) dairy feeder at the Clare County Fair.
  9. Dairy (i.e. Holstein, Brown Swiss, Guernsey, Jersey, Ayrshire or Milking Shorthorn).
  10. Classes Seniors and Juniors will compete separately for Overall Senior Champion and Overall Junior Champion.
  11. Classes may be combined or divided at the superintendent’s discretion

DAIRY FEEDER RECORD KEEPING
Rules to be followed are the same as beef feeding project
Livestock records is mandatory for all youth showing at the Clare County Fair. Record books are turned into the Clare County Fair Office on Sunday of fair by 8 pm.
