​DEPARTMENT 2 – YOUTH DAIRY
MICHELLE NEFF - SUPERINTENDENT ASHLEY EBERHART—ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT
Weigh in: To be determined ( must be on fee at least 90 days prior to fair) Fair check in: Sunday, July 23, 2023 12pm-1pm
  1. Dairy must be purchased and in possession by the last Friday in April.
  2. A dairy registration form must be turned into the fair office by the last Friday of April
  3. . By the last Friday in April dairy animals are to be dehorned, castrated and have extra teats removed.
  4. All animals are required to have an official (RFID) ear tag before entering the fairgrounds.
  5. Dairy are to be tied with a halter and neck rope.
  6. Exhibition of male animals is limited to nothing older than a Senior Bull Calf.
  7. Produce of Dam is 2 or more daughters of different ages.
  8. Classes Seniors and Juniors will compete separately for Overall Senior Champion and Overall Junior Champion.
  9. Classes may be combined or divided at the superintendent’s discretion
  10. .          One-half of the proceeds from the sale of Grand Champion & Reserve Champion Milk will be split between all youth showing dairy females.

DAIRY RECORD KEEPING
Livestock records is mandatory for all youth selling at the Clare County Fair. Record keeping books are turned into the Clare County Fair office by 8 pm Sunday of fair.
